We recently had our solar panels installed by Solarfix, and we couldn't be happier with the service we received. From start to finish, everything was handled professionally, and the installation was completed to a very high standard. A special thank you to Alannah and Matt, who provided exceptional customer service throughout the entire process. They were friendly, knowledgeable, always happy to answer our questions, and kept us informed every step of the way. Their professionalism and genuine care made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. We would highly recommend Solarfix to anyone considering solar panels. Solarfix NI are an excellent installer. I originally reached out to Alannah and as a result Darren visited the house for inspection. From there I had Matthew and Jonathan to do the install - all great folks with impeccable workmanship. Special thanks to Bernard also!!!! Do not delay - electricity prices are only going one way - the sooner you buy the sooner you start to save. I am now wholly 'off-grid' for 7-8 months of the year and even with a thirsty electric car. I can wholeheartedly recommend Solarfix NI as an installer. I originally reached out to get quotes. I had originally talked with Alannah who was able to answer every question I threw at her, and she was able to recommend a system and help plan the initial quote. From there I had Matthew out for a site visit to help further refine the quote and install. During this, Matthew was incredibly professional, knowledgeable and just friendly throughout. He was also able to answer my questions, put forward his own suggestions and guide me through the entire process. Following the introduction of the G99/NI Fast Track process, I reached out to Matthew again to ask about larger inverters through that simpler process along with a couple of other add-ons. He was more than happy to make adjustments to the quote to cover this. On install day the team of installers arrived promptly at around 8:30 in the morning, worked through the day causing minimal disruption and got the system installed and commissioned to a very high standard. Since install I have been 99% off grid ever since. I would thoroughly recommend Solarfix NI and Matthew, their professionalism, knowledge, ability and willingness to adapt and change has been incredible.

Short version: I do NOT recommend Solarfix. Their premium price is not reflected in their service, there is a clear disconnect between their survey and installation teams, they damaged property without reporting it, and their post-sales communication is non-existent. Longer version: I chose Solarfix despite higher quotes because I was impressed by the initial survey. Unfortunately, the execution was highly unprofessional and I have been completely "ghosted" regarding outstanding issues. Survey vs. Installation: The installers arrived completely unprepared for the site details. They lacked protection for my sandstone patio, disputed the survey-approved battery location in my garage, and rejected the hot press location chosen during the survey for the Eddi Diverter, instead mounting it in an awkward, ground-level spot in my garage. They were also unaware my roofspace was floored. Property Damage & Negligence: While working in the garage roofspace, installers smashed a fluorescent light tube, scattering glass fragments. They walked these dangerous shards onto my upstairs landing and bedroom doorway, where luckily I spotted them before any injury was done. When reported to Solarfix they promised a £20 Amazon voucher for a replacement tube, which never materialised. They also left the lights in my main roofspace light switched on continuously for two weeks, before I discovered them. Safety & Commissioning Failures: Post-installation, my hot water began automatically heating to dangerously scalding temperatures. Additionally, I was left with no clear way to get hot water on demand using my old kitchen switch. During handover, the representative couldn’t sort it and told me 'the tech guys' would contact me. They never did. App Inaccessibility: A sales representative actively discouraged me from using the official MyEnergi app to control the Eddi remotely. This left me physically crawling on the garage floor to access the manual Boost function on the poorly placed unit. She also told me it wasn't Solarfix's responsibility to adjust my immersion thermostat to prevent water overheating to scalding levels. Ghosting: I sent a detailed email outlining these final two issues: requesting that they properly connect the Eddi to my network/app and check the immersion thermostat safety cut-off. I received zero response, though accounts promptly emailed requesting the final balance. I eventually wrote a formal letter of complaint directly to the Managing Director; three weeks and a follow-up email later, I have still been ignored. If you’ve read this far, well done. I assume that you must be at least considering SolarFix for your solar energy needs. My advice would be to go elsewhere.

Met Sam at an Eikon home show and arranged a survey at our house. Came and explained how the whole system would work. Gave a good price and arranged the installation. The whole process was very organised and stress free. 16 panels, inverter, batteries and a car charger installed with all the necessary paperwork completed. Monthly electric bill reduced from £140 a month to £40 and that doesn't include £30 from export. Very pleased with the whole process.

Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. From the moment Matt arrived for the initial consultation, I knew I had chosen a professional and competent company. He took the time to thoroughly go through all of my options, explaining everything clearly and giving me the confidence that I was making the right decision in choosing SolarFix as my solar supplier and installer. Fast forward to installation day, and once again the team demonstrated how professional SolarFix are. The power was only off for about 20 minutes while they carried out the changeover, and now my home is running almost entirely on solar energy. The installation itself is incredibly neat and tidy—both the roof work and the inverter/battery setup look exactly as I had hoped. What really stood out was the attention to detail. The team cleaned up all packaging and debris before leaving, which I really appreciated. Today, I’ve even reached back out to Matt to discuss adding a changeover power switch, as my area can sometimes experience outages. I already have a meeting scheduled with him next week to look at the options moving forward. I genuinely couldn’t fault the entire team throughout this process. It’s a significant investment, and to feel fully reassured, well-informed, and supported every step of the way is priceless. Having a clear understanding of how the system works and when to expect a return on my investment has made the whole experience even better. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend SolarFix to anyone considering solar.

Exceptional! Called and got a visit from Sam, very helpfully described all the features so went for their most comprehensive package. Electricity bill has dropped from £450 a qtr to £25 plus I’m heating my hot water for free and selling back to the grid so in effect I’ve no bill at all. Equipment is first class and installation was a perfect. *****
