Wokingham Solar & Battery Storage Systems

Wokingham Solar & Battery Storage Systems is a Berkshire-based provider of solar panel and battery storage systems. The business was founded in 2024 by Simon and operates under Lumina Energy Limited. It is a locally owned and operated Berkshire business based in Wokingham. Wokingham Solar is an MCS-certified business. Its installations are backed by a two-year workmanship guarantee and it provides independent insurance-backed protection.

It designs systems with detailed battery-sizing calculations to maximise self-consumption. Services include solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems. Completed case studies include the Wokingham Town Centre Refurbishment Project with 16 solar panels, a 6kW Sigenergy Hybrid Inverter and 18kWh of batteries; a project in Woodley, Reading with 16 Longhi 490W panels, eight on a tiled roof and eight on a flat roof; and a project in Lower Early, Reading with 12 Longhi 490W panels providing 5.8kW of generation capacity.

Wokingham households seeking battery storage and solar work have consistently positive accounts of this company, with Simon named repeatedly as the central figure. Reviewers describe a professional, knowledgeable approach, from an initial visit to assess existing panels and battery capacity through to a clear quotation and efficient installation. Several customers mention expanding their systems, adding batteries and relocating a Solis inverter from a loft to a garage, work that was cross-checked and tested afterwards. Attention to detail is a recurring theme, whether fitting bird guard around existing panels, tracing a fault to a melted connector or servicing and cleaning a PowerVault-3 battery whose clogged fan filters had caused repeated overheating shutdowns.

Punctuality and responsiveness come up often, including same-day attendance after a phone call, and support after installation is described as continuing well beyond handover. Reviewers note the informative advice given before work starts and the care taken to ensure systems perform as intended, with energy costs falling as a result. Tidiness and fair, competitive pricing are also mentioned, as is the friendliness of the team on site. Solar panels, batteries and inverter work feature throughout, and existing customers say they have returned for further jobs.
