Home Renewables Scotland

Home Renewables Scotland works with MCS approved installers. Its partner installers supply and fit gas combi boilers and air source heat pumps. Home visits are conducted using a consultative approach with strictly no hard sell. Its installers recommend bespoke PV systems rather than one-size-fits-all solutions. Insurance backed guarantees are authorised by the FCA through the IWA Guarantee, providing protection on renewable products for a minimum of 10 years.

Its installers are MCS approved and hold other accreditations for the products they install. It works with local vetted installers in Glasgow, near Edinburgh and North Scotland. Its partner installers include experienced solar engineers, heating engineers and electricians. It offers solar panel and PV system installation, solar inverters, solar battery storage and heat pump and solar packages.

Home Renewables Scotland carries out solar generation, battery storage and domestic heating work, and the feedback left by customers points to a steady pattern of projects delivered as described. Reviewers repeatedly note that installations are managed carefully from start to finish, including one scheme combining a heat pump with solar generation that involved more involved requirements and was navigated with solutions that brought it to a successful end. Advice offered before and during the work is often singled out for helping households choose the right setup for their property.

A heat pump fitted alongside solar panels and a battery is reported to generate enough power to run the heating and cover most of the energy costs, which had been rising. An electric heating system with a combi boiler is described as performing like conventional central heating, bringing lower bills and immediate warmth to a home in a village without mains gas. Customers also mention professionalism, punctuality and obvious pride in the workmanship, and Glen is thanked by name for overseeing a solar and heat pump installation.
