The Solar Cleaners

The Solar Cleaners specialises in solar panel cleaning for domestic, commercial, industrial and agricultural installations. It serves Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. The company states its staff are fully trained and fully insured. It uses mechanical access equipment to reach solar panel arrays.

The Solar Cleaners advises that solar panels should normally be cleaned every six months to a year. It states that regular professional cleaning is part of warranty validation. The company states that cleaning solar panels at least once per year could increase efficiency by between 25 and 60 percent.

Householders across Plymouth have turned to this specialist solar maintenance outfit for panels that have gone years without attention, and the accounts they leave behind consistently highlight the transformation achieved. A number of customers describe panels that had not been cleaned in over a decade emerging looking new, with thick layers of algae and lichen removed during deep cleans of both photovoltaic and water heating systems. Joe, named repeatedly, is praised for arriving on time, working methodically and explaining the solutions and equipment used for specialist cleaning, often scheduling work early so the panels are not warm in direct sunlight.

Reviewers often mention the clear communication before and after each visit, with drone photographs supplied to show the before and after condition. Quotes are described as honest and detailed, and one customer notes the final cost came in below the figure originally given because the work was completed faster than expected. Tidiness and care on site come up often, as does the friendly, professional manner of the team and the improved performance of the panels afterwards. Requests for further cleaning are a common outcome.
