3.2 / 5 · 33 totalI invested thousands into a P3 battery system in 2023 from Powervault Ltd. and it worked fine. The company unfortunately went into administration and Powervault Plus Ltd bought the business and assets. I received 3 days notice this week that they were no longer honouring the 10 year warranty but worse still, they were unilaterally going to decommission my system (shut it down) and leave me with an expensive asset that would no longer work. They have subsequently backtracked (clarified) that our P3 systems will still operate but we will have no visibility of its performance nor be able to programme the functions. We will not have any ability to do so as the software was in the cloud which they are still shutting down. They say that they are working on a "local control" which we may or may not get but in the meantime customers have no idea how useful or not their massive investments will be after tonight. I think this is appalling behaviour. If this successor company wants to built a reputation why could it not first develop the local control, test it and distribute before shutting down their support for what is a medium to long term investment. And/or, better still, offer to continue to provide the support (without the warranty) for a reasonable annual fee. My advise to potential customers of Powervault Plus Ltd is this " DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, if they behave like this, they clearly do not care about their customers, they only care about themselves"
I purchased a Powervault 12kw system 4 years ago with 10years warranty UK company and 24/7 monitoring. Tuesday All Powervault customers received an email from Powervault + who have taken over the name after Powervault went into receivership. The letter basically advised they have no duty to honour warranty or support or monitoring. So we will turn off everyone’s Battery system in 3 days time as they won’t be safe to use without monitoring. But after you have binned your £7k system we would be happy to sell another Powervault + system 🤬 Really,Would you want to trust this company as we did. They didn’t even look at offering a monitoring system with a charge to cover costs to enable our systems to continue to work. I have Tesla installer calling Friday. Don’t risk your money like we did.
I have had a Powervault system since 2021 and to be fair it has worked extremely well. Following the company going into administration, the new owners have today issued all users an email stating the all the units will be shutdown on Friday this week and that there will be no further warranty support or monitoring. This is absolutely disgraceful and I shall be seeking legal advice. In the meantime my advice is don’t even consider dealing with this disreputable company.
Arranged a teams meeting as an invitee to become an approved installer, nobody turned up citing the staff member’s sudden exit from the company, fair enough, stuff happens. I inquired about rearranging, Shane apologies and set up a second meeting yesterday, another no show! I sent him a message “twice our time ( 3 of my team on the call) has been wasted which is disappointing given the brand you represent” Nothing. Instead, he messaged my electrician NTP directly, missing me, company director, out completely, with excuses of absence via tooth ache. How unprofessional can a company get. We as a company wouldn’t touch them with barge pole having experience their behaviour and lack of professionalism which will be reflected in their client support-disingenuous and sloppy. My advice to users, customer support is key and there are great companies out there, this isn’t one of them.
I was happy with the Powervault unit until I got my solar panels installed. A complaint is being made to Powervault because their installation of the grid CT did not take into account a solar system being added later. My unit does not charge from the solar panels and Powervault has denied responsibility for the issue.
We are very happy with our Powervault battery and wanted one which had UK manufacturing base. The process was informed and the team at Powervault and the installation company they used Orca did a great job. The 20KW battery has been working well now for some 14 weeks now we have gone onto a new tariff with Octopus which allows for cheap top up at night. The Powervault team monitor its health online and are occasionally recommending various actions which they undertake quickly and professionally. Would recommend Powervault and Orca (if you are in their area of operation)
Now had my Powervault P3 for a few years and it works fine. Since I added solar it's saving me a lot of cash. The company is always available to speak to and keeps an eye on my kit. After a set of power cuts they told me that a cell in my battery needed attention and a few days later they came and replaced it at no cost. How's that for great service. If I only Microsoft could do that for windows 11. I now only use my mobile phone for internet. Back to my Powervault . It's great. Buy one and you'll not regret it.
